Zu meiner Sonnenbrillensammlung ist jetzt ein neuer Liebling dazu gekommen. Ein Must-Have, das ich schon oft auf Pinterest & Instagram gesehen habe und in das ich mich sofort verliebt habe. Außerdem passt sie perfekt zu meinen Bikinis – abgestimmt auf die Trends diesen Sommer! 🙂

Now a cute newbie joined my collection of sunglasses. A must-have I already saw on Pinterest & Instagram and I fell in love with. It looks so awesome with my bikinis – perfect matched to the trends this summer!

Aber worauf sollte man eigentlich achten, wenn man sich eine Sonnenbrille kauft?

1. UV-Licht

   Sonnenbrillengläser müssen vor ultravioletter Strahlung schützen. Diese ist unsichtbar und kann sogar zu schmerzhaften Entzündungen der Binde- und Hornhaut führen. Dämpfen die Gläser nur das sichtbare Licht, schaden sie mehr als sie nützen.
   Der Tönungsgrad sagt nichts über den Schutzfaktor aus! Die Gläser sollten also aus hochwertigem Material bestehen und mit einem eingebauten UV-Filter versehen sein.

2. CE-Kennzeichen

   Sonnenbrillen dürfen nur noch in allen Staaten der EU verkauft werden, wenn das CE-Kennzeichen als Garantie des Minimums an Qualitätsstandard vorhanden ist.

3. Gläsergröße

   Die Gläser sollten groß genug sein, um das Auge auch vor einfallenden Strahlen zu schützen, die zum Beispiel reflektiert werden.

4. Qualität

   Hochwertige Gläser weisen weder Schlieren, Blasen noch Einschlüsse auf. Wenn ihr mit einem leichten Fingerdruck auf das Glas drückt, darf dieses nicht nachgeben.

5. Farbe der Gläser

   Farbe hat keine Auswirkungen auf den UV-Schutz! Braune und graue Gläser verfälschen die Farbe jedoch am wenigsten. Bei allen anderen Glastönungen muss das Auge die Farbe erst wieder neutralisieren.

6. Der Test

   Macht vorher die Probe: Die Brille in einer Entfernung von wenigen Zentimetern vor eine Tischkante halten und die Brille langsam drehen, während ihr durch die Gläser schaut. Bei einer schlechten Sonnenbrille wird die Tischkante verzerrt. Solche Gläser führen schnell zu Kopfschmerzen und Schwindel.

7. Pflege

   Damit eure Sonnenbrille auch qualitativ hochwertig bleibt, sollte man sie regelmäßig mit einem speziellen Reinigungstuch säubern oder ersatzweise mit Geschirrspülmittel und klarem Wasser nachspielen. Vermeidet Feuchtigkeitstücher und reinigt lieber mit klarem Wasser.
   

   

But what is important when buying sunglasses?

1.  UV light

   Sunglasses should protect against ultraviolet radiations. They are unvisible and it could come to painful inflammation of the conjunctiva and cornea. Are the glasses only damping the visible light they are damaging more than they are useful. The tint grade isn’t important for the protection factor! The glasses should be made of high-quality material and an UV filter.

2. Size of the glasses

   The glasses should be big enough for protecting the eye against incident rays that are coming for example from reflections.

3. Quality

   High quality glasses have neither streaks, bubbles nor inclusions. When you push with a slight finger pressure on the glass it should not give in.

4. Colour of the glasses

   Colour has no impacts on the UV protection! Brown and grey glasses are distorting the colour at least. All other glass tintings the eye have to neutralize at first.

5. The test

   Do the test first: hold your glasses in a distance of a few centimeters before a table edge. Turn the glasses slowly while looking through the glasses. If it has a bad quality the table edge will be distorted. Such glasses lead quickly to headaches and dizziness.

6. Care

   If you want your sunglasses to stay with high-quality you should care about them. Clean them with a special cleaning cloth or with dishwashing liquid and rinse them with clear water.

1. Kontrast

Die Form des Rahmens sollte einen Kontrast zu deiner Gesichtsform bilden. Hast du ein runderes Gesicht, trag eckigere Brillen und wenn du ein eckiges Gesicht hast solltest du dem mit runden Formen entgegen wirken.

2. Proportionen

Generell sollten die Rahmen in Proportion zu deinem restlichen Gesicht sein. Es ist schwierig beim Shoppen eine zu finden, welche perfekt zu dir passt und das Gesicht mit großen Gläsern abdeckt. Nur weil eine Sonnenbrille gut aussieht, muss sie nicht automatisch an dir optisch gut aussehen.

3. Farbe

Wähle eine Farbe die deinem Gesicht schmeichelt. Schwarz ist immer gut um deine Augen zu highlighten und zu akzentuieren. Gläser die im Kontrast zu deinem Gesicht und deinen Haaren stehen fallen mehr auf, aber es ist deine Entscheidung welches Statement du mit der Sonnenbrille machen möchtest.

“The shape of your frame should contrast the shape of your face, so if you have rounder features, you want more angular glasses, and if you have more angular features you want to soften them with more curved shapes.”

2. Proportion

“In general, you want your frames to be in proportion with the rest of your face. It’s different when you are shopping for sunglasses, which tend to be larger for greater coverage, but what looks good as a sunglass will not necessarily look good in optical.”

3. Color

“Choose a color that compliments your features. Black is always good for highlighting and outlining your eyes. Glasses that contrast the tone of your face and hair will stand out more, but it’s up to you how much of a statement you want your glasses to make.”
